Plymouth- The Town of Plymouth’s Department of Public Works has announced a relocation of the administrative office effective January 21st, 2010. The DPW Administration office is now located at 159 Camelot Drive in the Camelot Industrial Park. In addition to the Administration office 159 Camelot also houses the following DPW Division’s administrative offices: Highway, Solid Waste, and Maintenance. The DPW Annex located at 169 Camelot Drive now holds the administrative office for the Parks and Forestry Division. The administrative offices for the DPW Division’s of Water, Recreation, Engineering and Environmental Management will continue to be located at Town Hall, 11 Lincoln Street.
“The ability to move the DPW Administrative Offices to Camelot Drive will make the Department run more effective and efficient,” Acting DPW Director and Environmental Manager David Gould Said. “The consolidation of the DPW, with the previous acquisition of 169 Camelot, allows the director better hands on management of the Public Works Department and I know this will allow new Director Hector Castro to more quickly be brought up to speed on the inner workings of each division.”
Incoming Director of Public Works Hector Castro will begin work February 1st and his office will be located at 159 Camelot Drive. This will allow more interaction in the day to day operations of the Public Works Department and a better utilization of the resources of the department.
