News Note - June 8, 2006
Design guidelines for properties within Plymouth's Historic District are now available. For the first time basic information with regard to alterations, repairs and new construction has been prepared by the Historic District Commission. Copies of the document are available on line (see guideline link above) and at the office of the commission in Town Hall.
The mission of the Plymouth Historical Commission is to preserve, protect and document the historic architectural heritage of the Town of Plymouth. Legislated protection is provided for historic buildings located in the Plymouth Historic District in the downtown-harbor area. The Historic District is a local and national treasure of our country’s architecture with a variety of examples spanning three centuries.
