The mission of the consolidated Department of Planning and Development is to coordinate all planning, community, and economic development activities of all Town government agencies. This department is to provide a comprehensive vision of the Town’s long-range goals, and to administer local development controls in a fair and equitable manner consistent with those goals. Specific programs are to be designed and implemented to achieve these ends.
From the South: Route 3 North to Exit 5, right at end of ramp onto South Street. Continue south approx. ¾ mile to end at T-intersection with Route 3A (gas station). Turn left onto 3A and take the first right immediately past the gas station onto Lincoln Street. Town Hall is midway down the block on the right-hand side (#11).
From the North/West: Route 3 to Exit 6A (Route 44 East). Follow the ramp and go through the first set of lights. At the second set of lights you will be at the intersection of Route 44 East and Court Street (Route 3A). Take a right onto 3A (south) straight through the downtown/business district. Stay on 3A south, past Friendly’s on the right, past Water Street on the left, up the hill and look for Lincoln Street. Town Hall is midway down the block on the right-hand side (#11).
