Charter Review Committee

Overview

Per Ch. 7 Sec 6 of the Town Charter At least once every 5 years, a Charter Review Committee shall review the Charter and make a report, with recommendations, to the Town Meeting concerning any proposed amendments which the Committee may determine to be necessary or desirable.

Volunteer

A Charter Review Appointment Committee is being formed by the Town Moderator to review and appoint members to a Charter Review Committee. The 3-member Appointment Committee shall consist of the Town Moderator as committee Chair; one member of the Select Board (TBD) and one member of the Committee of Precinct Chairs (TBD). 

The first meeting of the Appointment Committee is Monday, June 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., Town Hall, Great Hall, 26 Court Street. If you are interested in serving on the multi-member Charter Review Committee, please submit a letter of intent, in person or by mail to Michelle Turner (Procurement Office), Town Hall, 26 Court Street, Plymouth MA 02360 Or via email to charterreview@plymouth-ma.gov 

The deadline to submit your letter of intent is Friday, July 7, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
