Bids sought by the Town of Plymouth for Gravestone Conservation and Restoration on Burial Hill will be received in the Procurement Office, Town Office Building, 26 Court Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts, 02360, until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Specifications and bid forms are available online at www.plymouth-ma.gov/bids-current.
Any person interested in submitting a bid should plan to attend the pre-bid site walk, scheduled for Monday, September 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. All participants should meet in the parking lot/parking deck on South Russell Street next to Burial Hill.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid. Such deposit shall be in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Plymouth or a bid bond in a form satisfactory to the Town of Plymouth with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and conditioned upon faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the bid. Return of bid deposits will be in accordance with the provisions of the applicable General Laws. All bid bonds shall be retained by the Town of Plymouth unless accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
The awarding authority is the Town Manager who reserves the right to reject or split all bids if deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Plymouth.
Before execution of an agreement the Town will require a performance bond in an amount equal to50 percent of the total amount of the bid, with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
