Services Offered

Informational and ReferralAssistance with obtaining services (including help with finding home care providers or assisted living, obtaining Social Security and subsidized benefits, locating support groups, and advocacy, completing housing applications) is provided by our Social/Outreach Workers.
The CAL CafeLook for a new dining experience opening in the Fall/Winter of 2022 with the introduction of the CAL Cafe!  Offering a variety of menu choices and varying costs, the CAL Cafe will give seniors the choices they deserve, as well as extended socialization hours!
Meals-On-WheelsMeals on wheels are delivered year-round, Monday through Friday under authorization of Old Colony Elderly Services (OCES) for elders who satisfy the criteria. Each request for this service must be evaluated by a social worker. For information, call OCES @ 1-800-242-0246.
Wellness ProgramZumba, Jazz, Qi-gong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Arthritis Foundation Boxing, Ballroom Dancing, Nutrition Information, Massage, Blood Pressure Clinics, Foot Care Services, Holistic Wellness, Parkinson and other support groups, along with Hearing Tests are just a sampling of what is offered here.
Foot Care ServiceA nurse provides a half-hour treatment for $35.00. Please call 508-830-4230 for an appointment.
Legal Aid and Financial PlanningCAL works with Elder Law Attorneys and a Financial Planner who provide consultations free of charge once per month. Call to schedule an appointment.
S.H.I.N.E. (Serving Health Information Needs of Elders)This program provides trained volunteers to help elders understand their health insurance needs, review present coverage to prevent paying for unnecessary or duplicate coverage, help process health benefit claims, inform elders of their rights under Medicare and make referrals to various agencies when appropriate.  Call to make an appointment.
The Arts, Entertainment, and EducationCAL, in partnership with Bridgewater State University, offers Lifelong Learning/Senior College classes at our facility!  We also host a variety of art courses, educational courses, and entertainment events. These include painting, drawing, crafting, computer classes, singers, musicians, and luncheons. 
The CAL Express and Medical TransportationThe CAL Express has arrived!  This transportation service provides FREE transportation to and from CAL through our partnership with GATRA and Taking People Places!  For more information, please call (978) 795-4404.  We also provide local medical transportation rides to seniors through our CAL volunteer program.  
HousingOur Social/ Outreach Workers are available by appointment to assist with locating housing options. Please call for an appointment and to obtain a list of documents required to complete housing applications.



Monthly newsletter contains current programs and services, luncheon menu, up-coming events and other useful information.
AARP Tax-Aide ProgramProvides volunteer training and assistance to help elders file income-tax forms. Training for this service begins in January of each year. Tax return appointments begin in February and are on-going through April 15th.
