Building - all building permit applications must be submitted in person, by mail or dropped in the drop-box located at the rear of the Town Hall building. Building permits will not be accepted by email.
 
Addition/Renovation Checklist

Addition/Renovation Permit Application & Workers Comp Affidavit - for use when applying for an addition or alteration, residential or commercial.  *A completed Workers Comp Affidavit is required with every building permit submission.  All addition/deck/stairs permits (repairs or new) require the first step of zoning to be completed and approved prior to applying for a building permit.

New Construction Application & Workers Comp Affidavit - for use when applying for a new building, residential or commercial.  *A completed Workers Comp Affidavit is required with every building permit submission.

Demolition Packet - for use when a building is being demolished. Must be submitted and approved prior to building permit submission.
 

Express permits are for insulation, siding, roofing, *windows, *doors, and **signs ONLY.  This application will not be accepted for any other type of building permit requests.

 Note: This trench permit is not to be used in conjunction with any Board of Health activities (perc test, septic repair, septic installation) or Street Opening Permits. Trench permits are required as of March 1, 2009.
 
Plumbing/Gas/Electrical Permits
 
The Town of Plymouth requires Registered Licensed Electricians and Plumbers to pull these permits. Please print and complete then submit in person, by mail or email to jwilson-medeiros@plymouth-ma.gov  AND  dburke@plymouth-ma.gov   For emailed applications: we will email you the payment information within 24 hours of receipt; you can pay using our online payment portal or mail a check/money order.  Please allow 48-72 hours for processing once payment is received.
 
Electrical, Plumbing and Gas inspection requests should be emailed to scheduleinspection@plymouth-ma.gov

Attention:  As of July 1, 2021, pictures for inspections will no longer be accepted.
