The southernmost brood of piping plover chicks on Long Beach fledged (i.e., can fly), so the night-time restriction on Ryder Way has moved northward to the Fishermen's Turnaround. The road and designated parking spaces up to and including the Fishermen's Turnaround are available until 9:00pm as usual. The areas beyond the Turnaround will continue to close for vehicle access at 7:00pm, including for fishing access. The night restriction is expected to remain in this location for several more weeks.
