The Crossover at Long Beach will be open for vehicle access between 9:00am and 4:30pm on September 7 and 8, however, due to tide heights and surf conditions, only the areas near the Crossover will remain open until approximately 2:00pm on September 7. All other areas will close to vehicles. The timing and extent of the tide restriction may change depending on actual surf conditions.
The high surf advisory is in effect until 8:00pm Saturday, however, it is possible that the high tide will affect vehicle access on Sunday as well. If a tide-related closure is necessary on September 8, it would begin around 2:45pm. The Natural Resources staff onsite that morning will determine the timing and extent if a tide closure is necessary.
