Yesterday, work began on the Federal Furnace water main replacement, which required a temporary shutdown affecting the end of Federal Furnace Road, south of the elementary school, and Wyndmere Court.
During this time, some residents may have noticed discolored water due to flushing of the water main. Some discoloration is normal if water is drawn while flushing is taking place nearby. If you notice discolored water, please wait until flushing is complete and then run cold water from the faucet closest to your water meter for several minutes until it clears.
