Exciting news for historic preservation in Plymouth as we have been awarded a $23,400 federal grant from the National Park Service to conduct a preservation assessment at Burial Hill, one of our community's most treasured historic sites. The grant will fund a comprehensive evaluation of over 1,000 headstones, obelisks, and grave markers, providing expert analysis of their current condition and will serve as the foundation for the next phase of restoration efforts at Burial Hill, ensuring that long-term preservation strategies are based on detailed, professional recommendations.
