Updates to Plymouth's Emergency Alert System

Plymouth News & Updates Posted on January 09, 2026

The Town of Plymouth has transitioned to a new emergency notification system: Smart911 / Rave Alert. This system allows residents to receive timely alerts for emergencies, road closures, severe weather, public safety incidents, and other critical notifications directly by phone call, text, or email.

Please note that the previously used CodeRED notification system is no longer in service. To continue receiving emergency alerts from the Town of Plymouth, residents must re-register with Smart911 / Rave Alert

  • What is Smart911?
Smart911 is a free automated reverse-911 system that sends public safety alerts from your community to your phone based on the address you provide.
When you see 833-533-6163 displayed, you will know the call is from us. If you would like to hear the last message delivered to your phone, simply dial the number back.
  • How to register:

Please register your cellphone or landline here: https://www.smart911.com/smart911/ref/reg.action?pa=PlymouthCountyMA

Signing up is free and only takes a few minutes. Participation ensures you receive accurate, up-to-date information when it matters most.

We strongly encourage all residents to register and take advantage of this important public safety tool.

Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping Plymouth safe.
