The Plymouth Police Department is pleased to announce their partnership with Axon to introduce a Body-Worn Camera (BWC) program to the Plymouth community. This program aims to enhance transparency and accountability by providing clear and accurate audio-visual recordings, ensuring the best possible evidence and documentation of events.
Officer training for the body-worn cameras began on Monday, February 10th, with Axon trainer Matt Johnson. Additional training and a familiarization period started on Tuesday, February 18th. The BWC program will officially go live on Monday, February 24th at 7:30am. The community will begin to see cameras worn by all officers as a part of their everyday uniform.
