Heat indexes are expected in the mid to upper 90s on Monday, July 28th, and the upper 90s to lower 100s on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 29th and July 30th), with possible thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and/or Thursday.
The highest heat indexes will occur during the afternoon hours. Prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity could cause heat illnesses.
Heat Safety Tips:
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Limit strenuous time outdoors in the afternoon
- Stay in an air-conditioned room when possible
- Wear lightweight/light-colored clothing
- Stay out of the sun when possible (specifically during the afternoon hours)
- Check on relatives and neighbors

Center for Active Living (CAL)
- Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM
- The CAL offers a program called the CAL express which allows seniors to request a ride to the CAL and offers them a return ride home. To request a ride, please contact GATRA at (978) 795-4404
