Plymouth’s Department of Public Works (“DPW”) seeks to notify residents and visitors that the Town will undertake a water main replacement project on Warren Avenue at the Eel River Bridge, beginning the week of April 24, 2023. The project includes replacement of approximately 150 feet of 12-inch cast iron water main with 12-inch ductile iron water main along the bridge. The project will also require a temporary water main bypass during construction.
RFS Corp. of Brockton, Massachusetts will perform the work as the Town’s contractor. Work will occur during weekdays (Monday through Friday), between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. No work will occur on holidays.
During construction, please expect to be inconvenienced by traffic delays, uneven/settling trenches, and elevated noise levels. The Town and the Contractor will make every effort possible to minimize disturbances to residents, businesses, pedestrians, and motorists in the area throughout the duration of this project.
Please see the attached traffic control plan that is anticipated to be in place beginning the week of April 24, 2023.
The Town appreciates the community’s patience and support during this important water system improvement project.
