You can file all of these applications online through OpenGov. You also have the option to print the application, complete and submit to the Inspectional Services Department and we can scan and upload the application for you. Payments are accepted in the form of check, money order or though our online payment portal. We do not accept cash.
Zoning Applications
- Residential Zoning (PDF)
This is a two-page form. This is not a building permit. - Commercial and Industrial Zoning (PDF)
For use if building alterations to the location are needed or a change of use. This is not a building permit. - Sign Zoning (PDF)
All signs must have approved zoning before a building permit application can be submitted. - Business Zoning application (PDF)
For Home Occupations, please include the Home Occupation form (PDF) with your Business Zoning application submission. If Building Alterations to the location are needed, please submit a Commercial and Industrial Zoning application (PDF) with a floor plan. - Buildable Lot form (PDF) - If you would like to know if a lot is buildable, submit this form and all additional documentation along with a Residential (PDF) or Commercial Zoning application (PDF).

Note: This trench permit is not to be used in conjunction with any Board of Health activities (perc test, septic repair, septic installation) or Street Opening Permits.
Trench permits are required as of March 1, 2009.
Plumbing, Gas & Electrical Permits
The Town of Plymouth requires Registered Licensed Electricians and Plumbers to pull permits. Electrical, Plumbing and Gas inspection requests should be emailed to Inspection Scheduling.
